Professor Zimmerman teaches history, social sciences, and humanities courses. He is passionate about instilling a love of learning within his students. In his classroom discussion is fostered as a means of helping students seek a deeper understanding of history and how that connects to the world around them.

Prior to joining the faculty at 91吃瓜 Michael taught secondary social studies for 11 years as a public-school teacher in North Philadelphia.

He is married to his wife, Anna, and they have three children together.
